Barcelona, Spain, taken on August 25, 2011
One of the coolest things I saw in Barcelona five years ago (has it already been five years?) was this huge mural. What a magnificent piece of art! I think I’d like to try to find this intersection when I revisit Barcelona this year and see if it’s still there 😉
Colmar, France, taken on June 1, 2013
I really loved this piece of artwork on the pink wall of a building in Colmar. The details in the nesting birds and the architecture in the background are so delicate and striking that I couldn’t help but pay attention to its beauty.
The Floating Taxi, created by Glasgow’s local artist Rogue One, is a rather famous piece of wall art situated in the city centre. After failing to find it the first time, I finally found it today on Mitchell Street (not Mitchell Lane, where I went last time). A real taxi was passing by at the perfect time for me to take this photo, although it of course wasn’t floating like the one in the mural (those balloons remind me of the movie “Up”). There are supposedly lots of these murals scattered around Glasgow, many drawn by Rogue One. One of these days I will go on the “Mural Trail” – a real path – and find them all 😉
