For fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, cheese, and bread, your best bet is a farmer’s market on a Saturday morning, and what better example is there than Bordeaux’s very own Marché Des Capucins? OK, I didn’t go there often when I lived in Bordeaux, but I enjoyed every visit, even if it was purely for the colours of the market that I loved so much 😉
