In China, McDonald’s is giving out Super Mario toys with the Happy meal, and I couldn’t resist getting one…or two. I got Toad the first time but I really wanted Boo, so I asked for it 😀 Maybe I’ll go for the whole set… 😛

A few days ago during a lab meeting, a colleague brought a box of Kinder Surprise for everyone – how very sweet of him 😉 I haven’t had one of these in more years than I could remember, so I was rather excited, hah! My “toy” was a small figurine that was actually a tape measure that could measure up to 15 cm – not too bad, quite practical for my samples!
At Alan’s house, I saw this red dragon and I just couldn’t take my eyes off it – it was so cute! Then Alan, who is Welsh, told me that a red dragon is found on the Welsh flag. Why, and what does it symbolize? That’s another story for another day!
On the bus to Annecy, the little beaver that is hanging on my backpack zipper decided to peek from above and say hi. I think he missed me. Off to the training school!
I brought Blaise la Fraise home from the office today. I think it was left behind…so I took it. It’s apparently the toy that appears in the galette des rois, which reminds me of the apple I found last year. I always wondered where it came from…perhaps it was also from a galette?
