Downtown Toronto has a fascinating and mesmerizing night scene that I can’t seem to get enough of. A walk by the harbourfront always brings some pleasant surprises… 🙂

Salmons are resilient creatures as they must swim upstream against violent currents to spawn. While strolling along the Don River with my dad one autumn day we saw HUGE salmons in the river, jumping fiercely against the current but failing to reach the high point time after time. Then after a few minutes, they tried again, failed again, and prepared again to continue trying. Keep going, buddies!

Doors Open Toronto is an annual event that allows people to access many buildings and historical sites that may normally be off limits to the general public. One of the places of interest was the Toronto City Hall, including the observation deck on the 28th (or 29th?) floor with a view of Nathan Phillips Square down below. There was a stage and apparently some sort of group exercise event that was going on while I was looking down – a charity dance, perhaps?
