Tinian makes the best cakes and I’m always happy to be invited as her guinea pig whenever she experiments with a new one. This time we had rose tea as well for a perfect night in!

Tea and dim sum is a tradition of the Cantonese people and we like to have them in the morning, afternoon, evening…any time, pretty much. What better way to spend Christmas morning than having morning tea with a friend that I haven’t seen in a while? Sipping on some Pu’er tea as I wait for her to arrive…
No rain nor clean-up job was going to stop me from going to “Les Mots Bleus”, my favourite café in Bordeaux, this afternoon. The tea I ordered was called “Nuits Blanches à Saint Petersbourg”…sleepless nights in Saint Petersbourg? Sounds exotic. I usually order some sort of coffee or at least something cold, but today I felt like hot tea, strangely. “Les Mots Bleus”…words of blue. Melancholy.
