Amsterdam, the Netherlands, taken on April 9, 2011
A canal in central Amsterdam was lit up so glamorously at night, accompanying the swans that swam so leisurely as if performing a dance of the little swans. My companions and I walked along this path and later realized that the reason for the glamour was because this was the start of the famous red light district (or a part of it) in Amsterdam…how convenient!

A lone swan was swimming leisurely in Zurich while he got caught on camera – lookin’ smug!
Waterloo, Canada, taken on December 3, 2005
I stepped into the city of Waterloo for the first time in 2005 and lived there for 5 years more or less. During my undergrad years, Waterloo was more like home to me than Toronto. Waterloo Park was one place that I should have visited more often. It’s a shame that we so often don’t explore the places we call home, ending up with regret when we miss it after we’re gone.
After the Bible study today, I noticed this origami swan on a counter at church. Quite an impressive work of art 😀
