2.83 years in Bordeaux, and I climbed the bell tower of St.Michel for the first time today. There were approximately 250 steps, if I counted correctly, reaching the observation level with a gorgeous panoramic view of the city of Bordeaux. From this height, I can finally understand why we call Bordeaux the “Port of the Moon”. The Garonne forms a huge crescent moon that flows right through the city, giving it its well deserved nickname.
