April 24, 2013 – Caliprawnication

The proposed LLN IDS dinner finally happened today! The FunMates and I went to La Galoute in the centre of Louvain-la-Neuve for some food, drinks, and a nice relaxing time. Being a seafood lover, of course I had to order the dish called Caliprawnication, a delicious mixture of shrimps, clams, and CALAMARI in a coriander sauce. It was love at first sight ❤

April 13, 2013 – Preparation

A working Saturday at the lab until 9pm was already tiring enough, but a colleague was still at the lab and wouldn’t be finished till 10pm. I went home to prepare for dinner so that he could come over when he was done and we’d eat together. Just a simple meal for the end of a long day 😉

November 02, 2012 – Spicy salty crispy shrimp

I have decided to hone my cooking skills, and my culinary experiments start in Bordeaux with this Chinese-style spicy salty crispy shrimp. Indeed, it was spicy, salty, and crispy, just the way it’s supposed to be. The challenge is deep frying, which is really more of a hassle than a challenge. The feedback was positive, so maybe I can try it with squid next time. Go go chef!
