Falkirk, Scotland, taken on March 18, 2017

After visiting the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies, I took a walk around the Kelpies before the sky got completely dark, stumbling upon a lovely row of trees reflected in the quiet waters.

Bordeaux, France, taken on May 18, 2012

With a new year comes a new horizon and new hope. I’m currently on holiday and have forgotten everything about work with the intention to empty my brain and start afresh in 2017. As a researcher, my job is to publish papers and that would have to be my top priority in the upcoming year, before my contract expires. I’m going to have to push myself and get those manuscripts written and published, and it’s not going to be easy!

Florence, Italy, taken on December 19, 2013

At dusk, when the sky hadn’t gone completely dark at 5pm in December, Florence became lit up by streetlights on both sides of the Arno river. I had planned to be at the Piazzale Michelangelo (in the far distance in this photo) for a sunset from the hill with my dad, but train delays ruined the plan 😦 Still, old Firenze looked beautiful in the early evening!

Perth, Scotland, taken on May 30, 2015

Perth and the nearby Kinnoull Hill jumpstarted my hiking adventures in Scotland, and after a great morning stroll on the hill, I wandered around Perth itself and found it a very picturesque and attractive city. Lovely secrets to be discovered everywhere! (See the original photo in colour.)

Oct 03, 2016 – [Monday] Anything Goes: Clyde Canal

Glasgow, Scotland, taken on October 1, 2016

On the way to SeeWoo, I usually like to take a little detour that passes by the Clyde Canal, which on a good day looks beautiful. After a few days of rain, just when I thought the autumn rainy season is about to begin in Glasgow, we were surprised with the most brilliant sunshine last Saturday, which coincided with my visit to SeeWoo via the Clyde Canal. The water was so calm that even the clouds were reflected within. What a great day!

Where Am I?
