Rain arrives in Milan as our train pulled into central station. We were blessed with the most unbelievably gorgeous sunny weather all week in Italy, wherever we went – thankfully it only began to rain today, the day we leave.

November 10, 2013 – Arc in the sky
It’s been raining intermittently since the morning till early afternoon. At around 4pm, I looked out my window and this sight welcomed me. Immediately I gasped and said “wow” out loud to the gorgeous full rainbow that appeared right in front of me. The field of view of my lens wasn’t wide enough to capture the entire arc, but what a beauty!
October 13, 2013 – Leaf
Another rainy day. Why am I not surprised? It would have been perfect to sing along to “Lemon Tree”, with “I’m sitting here in the boring room, it’s just another rainy Sunday afternoon” 😉
October 11, 2013 – In the rain
As I was leaving the lab, I realized it was raining (how typical of Belgium). I had no umbrella. Then I remembered that I left my purple umbrella in the office before I left Belgium five months ago. I went back to the office hoping that the umbrella would still be where I left it and voilà , it was there, intact. It’s great not having to get soaked going home 🙂
August 07, 2013 – Droplets
Droplets of rain remain on a leaf from the sudden wave of rain that took over Bordeaux today, seemingly restoring the image of a rainy city. Barely 20 degrees today, what a contrast from last week!
