Sep 14, 2015 – [Monday] The Places I Called Home: Railroad in Waterloo

Waterloo, Canada, taken on June 21, 2008

One thing I miss about Waterloo is the railroad right outside the campus that goes from the plaza right past UWP and all the way to Kitchener. I loved to stroll along the tracks at night, always walking on the rails and never in between. Lots of train travel in Europe, but it’s been a while since I’ve set foot on those tracks. I miss that feeling.

October 08, 2014 – Railroads

One of my favourite random activities that I used to do during my undergrad at Waterloo was walking on railroads. Not in between the rails, but on the actual rails themselves. I liked to try to balance myself as I walked forward, and often I would fall to the side and had to start over. Today I went back to Waterloo for a visit and drop by Waterloo Park for a walk. At the railroads I revisited those undergrad memories and walked a little down the tracks, tipping left and right as I went.

May 03, 2014 – RT

Second TTC pass day with the sister brought us initially to the town centre where we hopped onto the Scarborough RT. I haven’t been on the RT for many, many years. At McCowan station, I went to the very front of the train and looked through the window towards the rails and tracks on the way ahead.
