Jun 08, 2016 – [Wednesday] Travel Favs: Pena Palace

Sintra, Portugal, taken on April 29, 2013

The first time I visited Sintra, I didn’t go to the Pena Palace. I was only able to view it from the Castle of the Moors on the other side. Fortunately I got the chance to revisit three years later to see the actual palace up close!

May 01, 2016 – [Sunday] WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Admiration

Lisbon, Portugal, taken on April 29, 2013

I have the utmost respect and admiration for my middle school French teacher, and I think I’ve proven it by looking for him in Portugal (yes he’s Portuguese but taught French) 12 years after I graduated from middle school. He was the reason why I continued learning French and one of the most influential teachers during my school years. This is the last photo I took of him after reuniting with him three years ago. My teacher, my old friend, I do hope to see you again!

Mar 30, 2016 – [Wednesday] Travel Favs: Alfama

Lisbon, Portugal, taken on March 27, 2016

I had my third trip to Lisbon recently and I finally got to visit the Alfama district, which I had missed during both previous visits. Alfama was filled with narrow maze-like streets that got my friends and I lost for quite a while, but that had to be the most enjoyable part of the trip, at least for me! Lisbon will always remain as one of my favourite cities in Europe, having a very special place in my heart ❤

Mar 16, 2016 – [Wednesday] Travel Favs: Departing from Lisbon

Lisbon, Portugal, taken on March 18, 2011

I fell in love with Lisbon the first time I visited it and one of the reasons was the stunning view from the air upon departure or arrival in a plane. The Tagus River is so wide and majestic that one would easily mistaken it as the sea, and the Vasco da Gama Bridge makes the entire scene even more stunning. Can’t wait to go back in about 10 days or so – for the third visit!
