These little wild flowers, each no bigger than the size of a Skittle, are the cutest things ever. I saw a field of these while descent from Conic Hill and stopped awhile to admire them. (See the original photo in colour.)

Wake me up in the forest of the night, before the darkness erases you from my memories.

The Labour Day long weekend was a sunny one, a perfect opportunity for a first visit to the Glasgow Botanic Gardens. The flowers were in bloom and the green leaves give an air of revival. There is something so aesthetically pleasing about these leaves against the clear sky blue. Its geometric elegance is stunning.
It is the last day of May…already! I continue to see signs of beautiful nature around me as the reward of patience after a long winter. These pink flowers, bursting with the vibrant youth and pride, contrast perfectly with the green, mellow leafs surrounding them.
Cold weather and untimely rain this year means that going sakura-watching in High Park is probably not such a good idea anymore as not many blossoms are left. At least our neighbours have a nice sakura tree (or something that looks similar enough to sakura) that we can enjoy from our backyard 😉
