The location where this photo was taken is unknown because I was on a plane from Brussels to Riga during the coldest weekend in 2012, at a whooping -28 degrees Celsius. Why travel to such a northerly city in the midst of the bleak winter? Well…why not? Off-season travel never bothered me and in fact attracted me because I got to avoid crowds while seeing a hidden side of a destination of choice. Bring it on, chill!
[Travel time] I must again say that I would always choose a window seat over an aisle seat on a flight unless I have to make a tight connection between flights. For views like this rainbow outside the rainbow after take-off from Glasgow, being (hardly) stuck in a corner is worth it.
When a plane passes overhead, I like to look up and guess which airline it belong to. Sometimes it is sufficiently close to see, but not this one. If it’s orange, it’s probably Easyjet.
I missed seeing the Alps from the air on my Geneva flight, so I wasn’t gonna miss the Pyrénées!
After two years, I am in Lisbon again, this time for a special mission. Here is a gorgeous view of the aqueduct of Lisbon seen from the plane, right before landing (I know I wasn’t supposed to be using electronic devices…but hurray for window seat!)
