Oct 05, 2017 – WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Pedestrian

Hong Kong, China, taken on December 30, 2016

Hong Kong, a place that never sleeps, is an extremely fast-paced society and an amazing place to observe the coming and going of people. One night I was travelling in the front row on the upper deck of a “ding ding” tram on Hong Kong Island. Here, at one point, the tram stopped to let the pedestrians cross the road.

The wonders of nature can be appreciated by observing its various elements, such as colour, structure, texture, and versatility. For, “The moment one gives close attention to anything,” said Henry Miller, “even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself.”

Ooh, Shiny! Buzz – oh look, it’s a bee! Bees always manage to catch my attention, often sidetracking me from wherever I am going. When they stay still and pose for me cooperatively, I can’t help but admire the wonders and powers of nature. Beautiful!

Jan 15, 2017 – [Sunday] WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Ambience

Hong Kong, China, taken on December 31, 2016

Hong Kong is a wonderful place to travel, but it’s easy to get weary from the extremely fast pace of the city. On new year’s eve, I hopped on a mini-bus in Causeway Bay, one of the busiest areas of Hong Kong, and in 20 minutes arrived at Stanley, a touristy but much quieter place to enjoy my evening. The ambience of the entire place made me feel relaxed and I almost thought I wasn’t in Hong Kong anymore. Combined with a gorgeous sunset and magnificent night views, it was a perfect end to my 2016.

Dec 18, 2016 – [Sunday] WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Anticipation

St. Andrews, Scotland, taken on November 26, 2016

Anticipation is a form of motivation that drives me to go forward and gives me hope for a better tomorrow. There is always something that I am anticipating, making me feel that I am alive and that my heart is beating. Last month, I saw the most beautiful clouds after a sunset in St. Andrews with a dear friend. Though I am not sure when I will see him again, I am sure that I will, and I am already looking forward to the next visit. And that is the anticipation that keeps me optimistic until the reunion 🙂
