Aug 20, 2015 – [Thursday] Song Titles: Graduation

Though there is no official graduation for a PhD, the defense felt like one. It was especially touching when the FunMates made me a photobook with our memories for the three years in the program. As cliche as it may sound, it’s worthy to say “we remember all the times we’ve had together”, whether or not “we will still be friends forever”.
November 15, 2013 – Six jury members
Congratulations doctor! There were six jury members at Nasima’s public thesis defense today, and I finally saw the legendary robes. I see pink ties…secret Mathies? (Waterloo inside jokes never die.)
February 22, 2012 – The PhD Movie
Poster on the elevator – it’s about time The PhD Movie came to UCL! Last time it screened in Bordeaux and I missed it since I was in Belgium, and now the story of my life is finally arriving here. Looking forward to it!
