Amsterdam, Netherlands, taken on July 29, 2012
I wasn’t a fan of Amsterdam both times I visited, but the city did give me the opportunity to take some pretty pictures. Maybe I’ll give it a third chance…eventually? (See the original photo in colour.)

Keukenhof, Netherlands, taken on April 9, 2011
Every spring, the gardens of Keukenhof are covered with seas of beautiful tulips and other types of flowers. The endless rows of blooming flowers are so stunning that you can’t help but wonder if you’re in paradise. Among the many varieties, my favourite one that I saw was the “Carnaval de Nice”, so intricate yet elegant. I wish I could take a bunch of them home!

Kinderdijk, Netherlands, taken on July 28, 2012
A black windmill waves in the rainy air as a flock of birds travel beyond the skies. Windmills gave me my first impression of the Netherlands as a child, and what a calm feeling it adds to the Dutch landscape 🙂

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, taken on April 9, 2011
A canal in central Amsterdam was lit up so glamorously at night, accompanying the swans that swam so leisurely as if performing a dance of the little swans. My companions and I walked along this path and later realized that the reason for the glamour was because this was the start of the famous red light district (or a part of it) in Amsterdam…how convenient!
