If there is a definition for “badass”, it’s this guy. During my first trip to Bruges, while I didn’t enjoy the city itself as much as I would have liked to, the sound of “He’s A Pirate” from the Pirates of the Caribbeans movies sounded from a distance and made my day. I turned the corner to see a full band playing the song right in the middle of a public square, and of course, this badass drummer guy caught my immediate attention. Such style and composure – I would have believed you if you said they were a band of pirates in Bruges!

A street musician was performing at the corner right by the cathedral in Strasbourg. I liked his music…and his dog.

Today was the multilingual Pentecost service at the Cenon church where people from the English service, the French service, and the Chinese fellowship all gathered to worship in their respective languages. Here the musicians were practising before the service began.

April 12, 2012 – Orchestra

Second musical instrument post in a row. I went to see a Berlioz/Beethoven concert today at Palais des Sports. Here the musicians are warming up, preparing to play, but the harp player hasn’t arrived yet.
