Isle of Seil, Scotland, taken on September 3, 2016
As I was waiting for the bus to come pick me up near Ellenabeich on the Isle of Seil after a great hike yesterday, I noticed that the bus shelter was actually a mirror that reflected the road, the hill, and the cottage up ahead. It was getting chilly so I was glad that the bus came soon after!
There aren’t two windows in this photo. In fact, there is a mirror on the left side, reflecting the city outside the window on the right side. Still more rain…
“Objects in mirror are closer than they appear.” And such is real life. We often think that we could leave things till tomorrow but before we know it, life catches up to us and we find that it’s too late.
I have a strange curiosity: How many cars have something hanging from the mirror? I used to think it’s an Asian thing…but apparently not? Maybe someday I should start collect some stats.
In Annecy, the French Alps could be seen in a distance, and it became a beautiful background for us all week during the training school.
