Amir had been such a kind friend when I was in Louvain-la-Neuve for my studies, and he was certainly a goofy guy too! One can always expect to have a great time with him – with a few bottles of Belgian beer, too, of course! (See the original photo in colour.)

At UCL (in Belgium, not in London), there is a sculpture of this…left side of a man’s lower body with a cross on his left foot. Not exactly sure if this is supposed to represent anything…contemporary art?

At one particular restaurant in Louvain-la-Neuve, the decors were made of none other than what’s ubiquitous at every restaurant – cutlery. Knives, forks, and spoons in a delicate arrangement hanging from the ceiling – who needs a chandelier? If this isn’t art, then I don’t know what is!

Someone in my previous lab in LLN really loved science, enough to write it on a lab coat. I hope he or she still loves science now, more than 4 years later 😀
