As I had mentioned last week, Lisbon is full of amazing public art. I really have no idea how the artist did it, but the sandy guy on the right was peeing right into the well! Impressive…and amusing!

Lisbon has its fair share of exceptional street art and one of the coolest ones has got to be this one found in the Alfama district. As my friends and I were trying to figure out what it represented, one of them suggested that perhaps it was a brain…a tree of knowledge in a brain? Whatever it was, it was impressive!

I had my third trip to Lisbon recently and I finally got to visit the Alfama district, which I had missed during both previous visits. Alfama was filled with narrow maze-like streets that got my friends and I lost for quite a while, but that had to be the most enjoyable part of the trip, at least for me! Lisbon will always remain as one of my favourite cities in Europe, having a very special place in my heart ❤

I fell in love with Lisbon the first time I visited it and one of the reasons was the stunning view from the air upon departure or arrival in a plane. The Tagus River is so wide and majestic that one would easily mistaken it as the sea, and the Vasco da Gama Bridge makes the entire scene even more stunning. Can’t wait to go back in about 10 days or so – for the third visit!

As Mr.DS drove me across the 25 de Abril Bridge (which was an amazingly impressive structure), the statue of Christ the King (yes, inspired by Christ the Redeemer in Rio) stood on the other side as if guarding the city. That would definitely be a place to visit if I travel to Lisbon again.
