Three of the indispensable sauces for Chinese cuisine, which are of course essential for my kitchen, have been obtained! They are, in order from left to right, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Where would I be without Lee Kum Kee?! There are many others I intend to get – vinegar, dark soy sauce, cooking wine, and chili sauce are just a few to name – but they will have to wait till the new year.
Working from 11am to 11pm means I am spending a lot of time at the work kitchen nowadays, which I rather enjoy 🙂
Having lived in France where ovens aren’t equipped in every house, I feel that we in Canadian households take our huge ovens for granted. Perhaps it’s time to start baking again…
Nintendo has Cooking Mama, but we have the sister who’s cookin’ up a meal…sort of. She seems to be confident in her skills – wonder how it will taste? (I love the shirt, by the way 😉 )
