Mar 02, 2015 – [Monday] The Places I Called Home: Kelvingrove

Glasgow, UK, taken on November 8, 2014

The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is one of the most recognized landmarks of Glasgow, and the building that houses it is indeed a magnificent structure. At night, when the museum is lit up on the outside, it looks more like the haunted castle of an evil overlord. On a rainy afternoon, I went inside to hide from the rain, only to discover that its collection is certainly worth returning over and over again. What more, it’s free to visit 😀

November 08, 2014 – Heads

The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is the perfect place to be on a rainy day…which is every day. I went for the first time today, and it is impossible not to notice the huge “The Heads” exhibition in one of the halls. It’s essentially just a bunch of heads hanging from the ceiling on strings, each showcasing a different emotion. The theme is “expression”, and the reason is quite clear. I went upstairs for a view of this exhibition and interestingly the lighting illuminated one head in particular. Rather odd…but I liked it. I will be back.
