I took a walk through Kelvingrove Park last weekend while enjoying the autumn foliage before winter takes over completely. Seems like these two gentlemen had the same idea 😛 (See the original photo in colour.)

This is the “Expression” exhibit at the Kelvingrove Museum. Each face on the hanging heads expresses a different emotion, rather interesting but slightly odd.

The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is one of the most recognized landmarks of Glasgow, and the building that houses it is indeed a magnificent structure. At night, when the museum is lit up on the outside, it looks more like the haunted castle of an evil overlord. On a rainy afternoon, I went inside to hide from the rain, only to discover that its collection is certainly worth returning over and over again. What more, it’s free to visit 😀

The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is the perfect place to be on a rainy day…which is every day. I went for the first time today, and it is impossible not to notice the huge “The Heads” exhibition in one of the halls. It’s essentially just a bunch of heads hanging from the ceiling on strings, each showcasing a different emotion. The theme is “expression”, and the reason is quite clear. I went upstairs for a view of this exhibition and interestingly the lighting illuminated one head in particular. Rather odd…but I liked it. I will be back.
