Switzerland might be too perfect sometimes. The grass is a perfect hue of green and the atmosphere is perfect serenity. Lauterbrunnen is the “Valley of Waterfalls” and from a viewpoint, I was able to see the perfectly calm and lovely little village spread in front of my eyes. It might have been love at first sight.

Though I’m not sure if this guy was a shepherd, this scene always reminds me of Psalm 23: “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want.”

While the next destination in our Swiss trip was Zurich, I couldn’t resist the beauty of the breaking dawn as we boarded the morning train. It wasn’t as early as the train to Interlaken, but it seemed like the sun was still wrapped in its cloudy blanket above the roaring mountains.

Post 200 goes to…Interlaken! Really, Interlaken is the main reason why I wanted to visit Switzerland. It’s been my dream for so long and it’s the first item on my bucket list to check off. My friend and I took the 5:59am train – bright and early, yes – to Interlaken from Basel, and passed by the most beautiful sceneries I have ever seen in my life. Here is a view from the train, with the mountains as a backdrop and a lone boat floating gently in Lake Thun before the sun has fully awaken.
