Salt and pepper are such a universal duo that they might as well be partners in crime. A restaurant in Kaohsiung showed the perfect love and friendship between salt and pepper in the form of a hug. How creative and cute! (I rarely post more than one photo for weekly photo challenges but two are necessary in order to fully show the partnership 🙂 )

Sometimes when you are doing monotonous tasks in the lab, moments of epiphany strike. You may be wondering what is the point of spin-coating 100 samples, but in one split second you realize – spin-coating is life! Of course it may just be a labmate’s epiphanies scribbled on the glass hood, but worth a thought? 😉

I don’t remember how these two mussel shells became a piece of “art” during our lab Christmas dinner after I placed them delicately on top of an upside-down bowl inside a Chinese wooden steamer, but it has officially become an inside joke between me and some colleagues XD
