Lots of food and meal photos lately. In general, December is a month of weight gain…but it’s worth it!!! After last year’s successful “science style” hot pot using the lab hot plate, we repeated it again today at my place, this time with the whole IECB crew. 6 hours of eating and chatting, from 2013 to 2014 – happy new year!
We’re on a roll with these Christmas meals! This time it’s…hot pot on Christmas day! Arriving in Tarbes, friends prepared a warm, homey hot pot meal. Oh, what luxury! Life is too good and I definitely have gained weight this holiday season.
A bottle of sesame sauce and a bottle of spicy sesame sauce for the hot pot dinner with the colleagues tonight. I love a good chat accompanies by good food 😉
December 21, 2012 was supposed to be the last day of…well, everything, so I celebrated with some friends by having a nice, warm hot pot dinner (kinda like the previous FBHZHP) 😀 Now, the problem was that I couldn’t find gas bottles for the portable gas stove that I borrowed. For some reason it was sold out everywhere. It was then that the colleagues and I decided to “borrow” an abandoned hot plate from my lab to act as the stove, which turned out to be not too shabby at all! What heating power! Forget about Gangnam Style…HOT POT SCIENCE STYLE is the way to go!
Hot pot on a late-autumn evening? Why not! It’s party time with my dearest Bordeaux ladies, a rare occasion since Helene is back only for a few days. So much food and so much laughter ❤
