For this week’s photo challenge, I took photos of the most interesting item that was closest to me, which happened to be…a clementine. It was peeled and became my model as photos were taken from every angle. Only three were chosen for the challenge, and of course after the photo shoot, the clementine served its original purpose – yep, I ate it. So juicy and sweet!
Bordeaux, France, taken on April 9, 2012
April 9, 2012 was one of those days when I simply thought, “Today was a good day!” I remember this day in particular because I had written about it. Baking garlic butter mussels (which was a sin in itself because it was so unhealthy yet so delicious), biking around Bordeaux, enjoying the spring breeze and a lovely dusk – it was the most ordinary day, yet the most beautiful.
The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is the perfect place to be on a rainy day…which is every day. I went for the first time today, and it is impossible not to notice the huge “The Heads” exhibition in one of the halls. It’s essentially just a bunch of heads hanging from the ceiling on strings, each showcasing a different emotion. The theme is “expression”, and the reason is quite clear. I went upstairs for a view of this exhibition and interestingly the lighting illuminated one head in particular. Rather odd…but I liked it. I will be back.
