After some good food at a lab picnic, these two guys decided to share a hammock and relax. Best friends forever? 😛
Le Semnoz, France, taken on March 21, 2013
In March 2013, during a training school session, my colleagues and I went on an excursion to Le Semnoz, where we went snowshoeing in team. At one point I was taking a group photo for one of the teams, and everything was fine until…someone tripped. Or someone pushed someone else?! Whatever it was, surely chaos ensued and the initial fall of one person triggered an entire chain reaction that resulted in half the team falling onto the ground into deep snow. As a bystander I found it rather hilarious to watch everyone try (or not!) to get back on their feet while still not sure what had happened. It might as well have been a huge snow fight that I’d love to have joined!

Not sure if this was added as a result of the Pokemon Go hype, but the hostel that I stayed at in Belfast welcomed its guests with a fiery Charizard right by its front door. I suppose it seems fitting to have a fiery Pokemon on a heater during the cold winter days – at least it keeps the guests warm!

One of the reasons I like watching street artists perform because often they look like they’re having a lot of fun. Take this group of medical students from Porto, for example. Taking some time off from saving lives and performing to earn some extra cash for their expensive tuition (why they were in Geneva I had no clue), they formed a nice little orchestra and amused many passersby, including our group. Some talent they have – we certainly had fun watching them!

Salt and pepper are such a universal duo that they might as well be partners in crime. A restaurant in Kaohsiung showed the perfect love and friendship between salt and pepper in the form of a hug. How creative and cute! (I rarely post more than one photo for weekly photo challenges but two are necessary in order to fully show the partnership 🙂 )
