Colmar, France, taken on June 1, 2013

Colmar is an attractive city in the Alsace region of France and is an easy day trip from Strasbourg. The colourful half-timbered architecture is the defining feature of Colmar, just like in other cities in Alsace. How lovely it was to take a stroll here!

Saint-Émilion, France, taken on November 24, 2012

On the way to Saint-Émilion, I passed by what I could only assume was a vineyard where the grapes have already been harvested. Rather barren, if I may use this word to describe the scene, but so picturesque.

Paris, France, taken on April 22, 2011

The Eiffel Tower flashes at the beginning of every hour during the night for five minutes, and the only time that I went up the tower, I was there during one of the flashes! What an experience 😀 (See the original photo in colour.)

Aug 21, 2016 – [Sunday] WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Rare

August 22, 2016 § 4 Comments

Bordeaux, France, taken on March 15, 2013

Is it OK if as soon as I saw the word for this week’s challenge, I thought of the ridiculously succulent and delicious medium-rare beef filets that I had at L’Entrecôte?! That restaurant is a legend in Bordeaux. If you don’t have to wait more than half an hour to get into the restaurant, you’re lucky. The beef filets are the main course, but the mysterious sauce is the signature of L’Entrecôte. Oh, and unlimited fries can’t hurt!

Where Am I?
