The first time I went to Nuit Blanche, I was amazed at “Walk Among Worlds”, an installation by Máximo González that was composed of 7000 inflated balls, each representing one million people on this planet. The sheer size of this display was overwhelming! I was glad they were not balloons…or else I would stay far, far away from this exhibition…

We had a lab basketball game two months ago (which I participated only as a spectator) and our dear Tom came to support the teams even if it meant leaving the lab “unattended”, in his own words. In the end it’s still MiMe vs. MiMe – good fun nonetheless!

The federal election that just happened a couple of weeks ago filled the city of Toronto with many coloured signs with the names of the district candidates. My neighbour happened to have one of each of the three major parties on their front yard, and it makes one wonder which one they actually supported… 😛
