As I was walking home from the university tonight I saw some of the most beautiful pink clouds ever – a flaming evening, indeed, though it was a bit chilly!

December 08, 2014 – Evening glow
This will be my last time seeing this view of the West End from this bedroom, as I am moving tomorrow. The cathedral glows a ghostly white (thanks to the condensation on the window), but the light diminishes silently shortly before midnight.
February 23, 2014 – Transmission
The end of February approaches, and the days are getting visibly longer now that the sky is still bright at 6:30pm. On the way to dinner today, the car stopped just at the perfect spot for me to take a photo of the rows of transmission towers outside, lining up in a vast field of snow against an orange sunset.
January 13, 2013 – Crescent
The moon hung in the sky on an early Sunday evening, but what impressed me in this scene more than the golden crescent were the dark clouds looming beneath it. They were so voluminous that I thought a mountain has suddenly appeared in the east side of Bordeaux!
