I’m not sure if what I heard about the Prague metro system is true, but it is said that the reason that the metro was built so deep underground was so that it could serve as a nuclear bomb shelter. And certainly it was deeper than the metro in most other cities that I’ve seen!

March 09, 2014 – Escalators

Today is TTC day with the sister, where we just go around the city with a day pass. Part of the trip took us to Downsview station, with these long escalators leading up to the buses.
