Edinburgh is such a beautiful city and I find new surprises with every visit. A popular place from which to get a lovely panoramic view of Edinburgh from high up is Calton Hill. In the distance, Edinburgh Castle can be seen in addition to all of the old town before your eyes. See you again soon, Edinburgh!

There were some interesting pieces of architectural work on display at the Cities Expo in Edinburgh, and the one that caught my attention was this pipe-based structure representing Rotterdam. Not that I know anything about architecture, but it sure looks cool!

Newest discovery in Edinburgh: the Greyfriar Kirkyard. I rather liked this closed gate, locked with skulls as if warning anyone attempting to trespass. I wonder what mysteries lie beyond the gates…and I’m not about to find out! (See the original photo in colour.)

When I was up on Calton Hill in Edinburgh, I kept observing this son-and-father duo. The kid was just the cutest and his interactions with his dad were just so fun to watch 🙂
