[Travel time] One of the reasons I decided to make a stop in Paris before heading back to Glasgow, aside from seeing some friends, was to attend the new year gospel concerts (two of them) at the Maison de la Mutualité. The venue welcomed over 1500 guests during each concert – what a way to start the year with a blast.
I work in a building right next to the gorgeous Wellington Church and tonight was the first time I went inside – for the Night & Day Concerts by Candlelight, presented by the Scottish Ensemble. Cold evening, but the cozy atmosphere inside the church and the lovely music warmed me up right away 🙂
My sister informed me last minute that tonight would be her school’s (I went to her school before) spring concert. Of course I’d go! I had been part of the school band, and consequently the school’s spring concert, during all four years that I was there, so I had to go and show my support. Let’s get ready for a good show 🙂
The performance at the Grand Theatre this morning was probably the last one that I’d attend in Bordeaux. It featured a harp/violin duo with a series of musical pieces that lasted about 45 minutes. Applause, bow, repeat. Thank you for your great performance.
