Madawaska Valley, Canada, taken on October 10, 2015
The hike in Madawaska Valley was a beautiful surprise and a rare time when all family members hiked together (mainly because I insisted). The colours of the autumn foliage were at their best in mid-October, which was exactly why I went back to Canada and headed up north with my family. The vivid yellow and red leaves are lovely complements to my even more lovely parents, aren’t they 😉
Toronto, Canada, taken on October 4, 2014
At the Toronto edition of Nuit Blanche last year, there was an exhibition called “Kaleidoscopic”, which was exactly what its name implied – it was a live kaleidoscope. Pretty cool, but a bit creepy!
Reykjavik, Iceland, taken on August 23, 2015
Whoever said Harpa (concert hall in Reykjavik) is “a photographer’s dream” is a genius. Geometry, colours, style, patterns, delicacy – you name it, Harpa has it. I almost didn’t think of entering the building, which would have become a huge regret (although I wouldn’t have known), but now, Harpa has become one of my favourite spots in Reykjavik. And I won’t hesitate going back to this city, this country that I love so much.
Niagara Falls, Canada, taken on August 3, 2005
Rainbows are one of my favourite things to photography because they’re usually unplanned and unpredictable. The moment Mr. Roy G. Biv shows his face, you know the rain is over…except at Niagara Falls, when the rainbow isn’t necessarily caused by the rain. This photo was taken almost ten years ago (wow?) when Roy decided to form a real rainbow bridge between Canada and the US, and the “Maid of the Mist” happened to be passing below it. A most appropriate scene, no? 🙂
Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, taken on November 1, 2011
Louvain-la-Neuve was the little place that I called home once in a while when I had to travel to my partner university during my PhD program, and a cosy little home it was. On this day, I went to Lake Louvain-la-Neuve again and this was the starting point of my walk. This curve caught my attention inexplicably as it was so…aesthetically pleasing. It was quite a grey day though, the skies overcast with impending rain.
