First time on the Isle of Arran and the weather was lovely…mostly! As usual, I had to take a photo of the snack of the day with the hill that I would supposedly climb, but unfortunately we didn’t have time for Goatfell that day. Let’s hope I get the chance to go back!

A few days ago during a lab meeting, a colleague brought a box of Kinder Surprise for everyone – how very sweet of him 😉 I haven’t had one of these in more years than I could remember, so I was rather excited, hah! My “toy” was a small figurine that was actually a tape measure that could measure up to 15 cm – not too bad, quite practical for my samples!
I miss Belgian chocolate. The one brand that I really liked in Belgian was Leonidas, and I asked a friend to bring me two small boxes from Belgium, which he dropped off yesterday when he arrived in Toronto from Brussels. Time to try some, but it seems like someone *cough*Sherry*cough* has already taken one!
Sherry has been requesting for a few days that we make chocolate mousse, so today we tried it using a simple recipe. Easy…but soooooooooooo sweet.
“Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” If that’s the case, I’d rather it be a nice box of Belgian chocolates, tasty but not so sweet. These ones on the table are way too sweet, and life is often deceiving like that, no?
