The Jin Li touristic area in Chengdu is characterized by its traditional Chinese decorations that give visitors a sense of going back in time to the dynasties of the past. The pretty lanterns hanging from the house elegantly adorn the streets, and with the crescent bridge, the entire scene seems to come right out of a Chinese movie.

[No WordPress in China] I haven’t seen much sun in 5 days in Chengdu, and apparently cloudiness and gray skies are typical here. The city is really not suitable for daytime photography, so I resorted to taking pictures at night. Actually Chengdu has some quite gorgeous night scenes. Here are some buildings around Tianfu square in downtown Chengdu. At times like this I really do miss my little DSLR a lot…>_<

[No WordPress in China] I think seeing pandas qualifies as the “I’ve been to Chengdu” badge. WBC organized a visit to the panda base today and as cliche as this might sound, the pandas ARE REALLY CUTE!
