So, this is the first time I’m leaving Brussels without a plan to return, at least not within the foreseeable future. Also this is the only photo I took all day, in the hassle of moving back to Bordeaux. Last photo in Belgium, huh. Oh, I’m definitely gonna miss this little place. Yes, even Louvain-la-Neuve. I’ll see you again one day though. For now, au revoir!

October 26, 2013 – MooF
I made visit to the MooF (Museum of Original Figurines) in Brussels and also stopped by the Belgian comic strip centre afterwards. It was the first time I realized how much the Belgians love their comics – it’s not a myth at all! And I discovered that the Smurfs are Belgian…! Good ol’ Belgium, this small country still surprises me every day.
April 26, 2013 – Mont des Arts
Mont des Arts is found near Brussels central station, not too far away from the Grand Place. While time and time again I find the Grand Place to be the master of grandiosity, it was my first time visiting Mont des Arts at night, and the view simply wowed me. A rainbow in the night covers the whole place in a carpet of light. Just amazing.

I had been looking forward to seeing Brussels’ Flower Carpet for awhile and feel extremely lucky to be in Belgium during this period of time to catch this biennial event. The Grand Place looked ever so amazing decorated with the splendid and vibrant colours!
