There are several nice places to see Brussels from a high place and one that I discovered last year was at the top of the Musical Instruments Museum. In addition to the town hall, you can see the grand Basilica of the Sacred Heart in the far distance. (See the original photo in colour.)

I’ve often used the word “grandiose” to describe Brussels, which is one of my favourite cities in Europe. Of course, the grandiosity of Brussels is best represented by the Grand Place, but the arc at the Parc de Cinquantenaire is quite majesty as well, especially with the storm approaching from behind it. Better run for cover!
