Toronto, Canada, taken on October 16, 2014

Two years ago, I embarked on a very specific quest to find the rainbow on the Don Valley Parkway. It’s a secret landmark in Toronto that many people have seen while driving northbound on the DVP, but I was determined to find the exact place where it was hidden. It turns out that the rainbow bridge (or overpass, cave, whatever you’d like to call it) is found in Moccasin Trail Park, a tranquil little place that not many local Torontonians even know about. But success was mine, and I captured the rainbow, close up!

Bordeaux, France, taken on October 9, 2010

Upon arriving in elegant Bordeaux for the first time 5.5 years ago, one of the first things to do was to, of course, capture an obligatory photo of an elegant tram crossing the elegant Pont de Pierre – literally “Stone Bridge” or “Peter’s Bridge”. Symmetry is beautiful!

Cologne, Germany, taken on July 21, 2015

While chilling at the Hohenzollern Bridge in Cologne, the guys in our groups decided to sit along a tall ledge as the sun set behind them. Be careful of falling, boys!

Venice, Italy, taken on December 15, 2013

There is no doubt that the canals and bridges of Venice are what makes it one of the most charming cities in the world. I could get lost in its maze all day – and I wouldn’t mind!

Dec 02, 2015 – [Wednesday] Travel Favs: Christ the King

Lisbon, Portugal, taken on April 29, 2013

As Mr.DS drove me across the 25 de Abril Bridge (which was an amazingly impressive structure), the statue of Christ the King (yes, inspired by Christ the Redeemer in Rio) stood on the other side as if guarding the city. That would definitely be a place to visit if I travel to Lisbon again.

Where Am I?
