Very beautiful brioche French toast with fruits and maple syrup for breakfast at Cafe Gandolfi, a wonderful beginning to a fulfilling Saturday!

Final meal of my most recent trip to Iceland – breakfast at Keflavik airport. As my flight was 7:35 in the morning and I had stayed in the airport all night, a gigantic breakfast sounded pleasing, but this was almost even too much for me. Let’s see what we have here…scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, smoked salmon, potato wedges, and toast. Boy, I was so stuffed that morning that lunch wasn’t even necessary. Bye bye Iceland, for now!
I’ve wanted to try the food at Buddy Cafe down the street for a while, and got the chance today before my drive to Waterloo. I was just in time for the end of breakfast, and decided to get the rice noodles with beef brisket. I gotta say I was actually moderately impressed as the food was better than I had expected 😉
I got up unconventionally early this morning and made breakfast for myself. It’s been a while since I’ve had a REAL breakfast. Toast, an egg, a slice of bologna, a cup of yogurt, a banana, and a cup of green tea – good start to a super long day. I gotta get myself disciplined enough to wake up early more often.
