October 14, 2012 – Wild berries

I finally went hiking in the nearby Bois de Lauzelle in the morning. After having been in Louvain-la-Neuve so many times, it was my first visit to this forest, but better late than never. The atmosphere was strikingly quiet and serene, and the hiking trails were very well maintained. I only had time to explore one trail, but I already loved my promenade. The ground was very muddy because it rained all day on Saturday, but at least my shoes weren’t soaked! I stopped by a pond to observe my surroundings, and I saw some wild berries, each one hanging to drops of rainwater like a tear waiting to fall. Beautiful! Nature is just so marvellous. Praise God for this surprisingly enjoyable walk!
