January 17, 2014 – Bern

[Travel time] We end year 2 of Picture Worthy with a photo of my last destination during the week of travel – Bern, capital of Switzerland. I don’t think Bern is as big of a tourist destination as say, Zurich or Geneva or Lucerne in Switzerland, but there’s gotta be a reason why it’s the capital of such a fascinating country. Even though the day was gray and mixed with light drizzles, I loved it. The Aare river wraps so gently around the old town, which is dominated by fountains with statues found everywhere. Humble, but delicate. Voilà. Let’s head on to year 3!
