It was a nice day to have a small picnic by the river in Bergerac. Of course we did clean up after ourselves – no littering!

The riverside, by the Dordogne in Bergerac, is one of the most peaceful places that I’ve stumbled upon through my travels. It truly could be a place where everybody goes to be alone, especially in this hidden corner…

The waters of the Dordogne river in southwestern France are quite clear, at least a lot clearer than those of the Garonne 😉 There was not a ripple in the water aside from those awaken by the passing boat, and not a cloud was to be seen in the crisp sky. Such a calm and clear day, perfect for a visit to quiet little Bergerac.
