Ooh, Shiny! Buzz – oh look, it’s a bee! Bees always manage to catch my attention, often sidetracking me from wherever I am going. They are such graceful creatures and their romance with flowers is one of the most elegant things in the world. When they stay still and pose for me cooperatively, I can’t help but admire the wonders and powers of nature. Beautiful!

I’ve lost count of how many photos of bees I’ve posted on this blog but they really are one of my favourite subjects to photograph, especially ones that are so cooperative that they could be captured nicely with my phone, like these two. Aren’t they just lovely creatures?

Wild flowers are beautiful but the company of a buzzing bee is the cherry on top, especially when it is cooperative and stays (relatively) still for a photo!

Hyde Park has a little rose garden where I could admire the beautiful colours of the flowers in bloom, if the weather is nice, that is. Seems like this little bee is out to enjoy the summer as well!
