Tonight’s dinner was a farewell for Kana with a few friends at 7e Art. First up – “saumon tartare” as an appetizer, lovely!
First full day back in Bordeaux, and it’s time for a big meal with the colleagues with…Brazilian churrasco (grilled meat)! Of course these were only the appetizers, meat and cheese balls, and mixed salad. Getting ready for lots of meat later on… 😉
I took my sister out for dinner tonight and here comes the eagerly anticipated duck gizzards as the appetizer. Still so delicious after so many visits!
Lunch at a nice restaurant near the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris consisted of herring with potatoes as the appetizer and moule frites – mussels with fries – as the main course. The appetizer was oh-so-delicious!
I went to Sarlat (in the Dordogne department in south-western France) today with a friend for a day trip, and had a nice, well-enjoyed lunch. For starters I ordered the “salade gourmande”, which was a salad with duck gizzards, bacon, and walnut bits. I’m gonna say this is the best duck gizzard salad I’ve had anywhere so far – and I’ve certainly tried quite a few! So yummy 😉
