Hue, Vietnam, taken on December 27, 2015
A review of my past photos reveals some rather interesting shots that I had forgotten about, some candid and unintentional, like this one. I must have quickly snapped this photo of two ladies on a motorcycle in Vietnam as I was passing by, without noticing the expression on the face of the lady in the back. Captions, anyone?

At Shek O, I passed by a house with some nice decorations hanging in the front, including Santa who seemed to be having a jolly time parachuting. Christmas may be over, but who cares!
Guangzhou, China, taken on December 20, 2016
I never considered my hometown, Guangzhou, to be a very beautiful place, but when I posted this photo of Guangzhou on various social networking sites, several friends remarked that the Guangzhou depicted here is “beautiful”. Perhaps it is the faint sign of a blue sky that may be so rare in northern China nowadays. Perhaps its the greenery that is present even amid the urban centre. Perhaps…Guangzhou is beautiful, and I just never noticed it.

This pool has the most turquoise water I’ve ever seen and I began to wonder if the photos of the Fairy Pools on Skye had really been taken here… 😛 So clear and pure that I wanted to jump in for a swim!
Hangzhou, China, taken on December 14, 2016
When I visited Hangzhou in summer 2010, I was so stunned by the beauty of the West Lake that I made it a bucket list item to visit this beautiful place in every season. Now I am visiting it during the winter and although there is no snow, the West Lake is still elegantly beautiful as expected. The willows along the banks add such grace to the landscape and I fell in love with it all over again. Anticipating the next visit – spring or fall – already!
