Though it was raining and the trek into the mountainous villages of Sapa was difficult, the view of the surrounding terraces was still breathtaking. The rain even brought about a bunch of little cascades scattered throughout the terraces – what a sight!

My lab colleagues are too adorable. Although Christmas was a week ago, I gotta post this photo of our home-made Christmas “tree”, which I found one weekend before Christmas while dropping by the lab. I’m not sure who came up with the ingenious idea of making such a thing, but kudos to the person/people who took time from their busy schedules to do this 😛

During some wait time between experiments, I visited the school’s Zoology Museum and for the first time saw the frog display. There were two tiny frogs (each about the size of a Ferrero Rocher) hidden in the leaves but only one is shown here. Why, don’t you just look smug!
