Le Semnoz, France, taken on March 21, 2013
The snowy hike on Le Semnoz during my third and final PhD training school was one of the most memorable events of my grad school days. Oh, it wasn’t a “gentle” hike, as advertised! However, my awesome colleagues made the trip infinitely much more enjoyable. Charge on, FunMates!
This looks like so much fun! Sorry to hear that it was more treacherous than you anticipated lol. I would love to read a follow up blog about how people could get involved with group excavations such as on hikes like yours?
Thanks so much!

Thanks for your comment 🙂 Unfortunately I’m not too familiar with how to plan a trip like this because it was done as part of a conference/training school type event, and the organisers have planned everything – transportation from Annecy, guides, snowshoes, etc. I hope you do find out and get the chance to get involved, it was certainly a lot of fun 😀
