You simply do not miss trying the pastéis de nata when visiting Macau. Originally the pastéis de Belém, these egg tarts (or simply “Portuguese tarts” in Chinese) gained popularity in Macau and is a must-have when trying local Macanese foods. It’s similar to the Chinese egg tarts but have a slightly different texture and taste to it. I’ve had them a long time ago but I don’t remember them being this good…!
